    This game is simply fun in a box. This is the only racing game that encourages you to not only win races, but to smash up your opponents too - highly satisfying. There are even rewards for performing "signature takedowns" like smashing opponents into pillars. Whereas games like Gran Turismo 3 and Project Gotham Racing focus on perfecting the technicalities of driving, Burnout 3 is far more forgiving and it's about blasting around as quick as you can and having fun, clipping barriers or other cars usually just slows you down a bit and isn't disasterous unless you collide head-on.
    Crash mode could be a game in itself - you drive your car into busy traffic, smashing up everything, blowing up your car and trying to cause as much damage as possible. This is made slightly strategic by tryint to collect craftily-placed pick-ups that can quadruple your score or get you extra cash. The sight and sound of seeing cars reduced into twisted piles of metal and glass is highly satisfying.
    This game really has to be seen to be believed. It's just incredible how good the graphics are. The sensation of speed is unbelievable (I have the XBox version).
    This game will certainly keep you occupied for a long time. There is enormous variety, plenty of awards to achieve and plenty of tracks and cars to unlock.
    I must give the soundtrack a special mention - it's really good if you like American-style Punk Rock. This type of music suits this game down to the ground. Also, rather than just play tunes, there's radio station called Crash FM and a DJ who is actually quite entertaining.
    This is one of the best games of the XBox and cannot be recommended highly enough, even if you already own Burnout 1 or 2.
    Good points:
    * Just so much fun!
    * Lots and lots of variety. Never gets boring.
    * Incredible sensation of speed for all you adrenaline junkies.
    * Great graphics and sound.
    * Almost the perfect arcade driving game.
    Bad points:
    * In the toughest class of car (Super) it can be really hard to win the races because one small mistake can cost you the race.

    Ok so this game is good BUT the reason why i rated this game with only 2 stars is the fact that when playing on xbox live with this title you are restricted to playin with certain players if your tv is 50hz as you can still see and contact players with a 60hz tvs but you cant join there games or play with them in anyway! Therefore i would not recomend this title to anyway who has a 50hz tv and wants to play on live!

    I'm really not a fan of racing games, I bought this on behalf of my dad who wanted us to play this game off the nostalgia from playing it when we used to own an xbox.

    For 2012, surprisingly the graphics don't seem that out of date. Gameplay is fast and vicious and brought a smile to my face - impressive saying I hold the genre in such little regard! Single player is rather dull (blame an ancient AI) but it's worth getting through to get various vehicles for the multiplayer. Getting vehicles from races is well balanced and gave me incentive to keep playing.

    Multiplayer is brilliant. Obviously live support has long since gone but splitscreen is a tonne of fun. The frame rate suffers a little bit but nothing that hinders enjoyment.

    In summary it's a great game to play with kids to break them into the genre. If you're a burnout fan, want nostalgia or fancy seeing racing games from a few years back you can't go wrong. If not, just buy a modern one.

    Bought this game and thought the single player game was superb and couldn't wait to play online with a group of friends. Sadly it seems EA's interference with the XBox Live service has tarnished my experience with this game.
    This is one of the worst XBox Live experiences I've had. For some strange reason the game insists on logging everyone into EA's own servers, which timeout and are sometimes too full, preventing you from creating a game of your own and searching for a spare server in Germany or something.
    Private games are made private via a password, speech is intermittent and re-connecting to a game can be hit and miss.
    This type of experience in my opinion is way below what we have come to expect from XBox live and if Microsoft don't regulate this kind of sub standard service then it could damage the otherwise excellent reputation it has earned over the past 2 years.
    However, it must be said that once a game is established it's a lot of fun so it's a crying shame that EA's XBL implementation is very poor.
    In summary:
    This is a 5 star game offline and highly recommended, but if Online Play is your focus: AVOID! Or at least be aware that this is not the Xbox live you've grown to love.

    I've played loads of Xbox games and sat in front of the thing for far to many hours, but this game is simply the best I've played. I wish I'd had it sooner because it is possibly the best spectator sport too! I challenge anyone to really not love this game (except perhaps if you have lost a loved one in a car accident!)

    I love burnout played every burnout game since the first one and could not put any of them down besides paradise, burnout 3 was the first actual fast one that gave you the joys of takedowns. Slamming someone into a wall was brilliant and watching the carnage in a slowmo camera as your still trying to dodge traffic was and is still ace. I would like a remake of this aswell but will it happen no :( very good game worth a purchase

    El juego me gusta mucho, pero el problema es que viene defectuoso hay zonas del juego que no puedes jugar se queda pillado, entiendo que en la descripción indicaba que es de segunda mano, pero deberían de probarlos para garantizar que están en perfecto estado, ya que lo ponen a la venta en amazon, pero veré si me lo pueden reparar.
